How to Purchase a Mural for Home or Business

Your first consideration should be what type of mural are you looking for. Murals can range from very simple to extravagant. What effect do you want to achieve with your mural?

  1. Add a simple touch to tie together a theme, or color scheme. Consider an accent mural. Examples of accent murals are hand painted boarders around doors or windows, and single items such as trees, branches, or other outdoor elements.

  2. Do you want to add a sense of space to you room? A good choice is a painted doorway with a scenic view or a window. These elements are small enough to fit most budgets, but add real impact.

  3. Do you want to add whimsy and intrigue? A tromp lo’eil mural does that. This is because it fools the eye into thinking something is actually there. An example of this would be a painted umbrella stand, a shelf, or plates.

  4. Do you want to go all out and create a new environment for a space? This can mean painting an entire wall, or even a whole room. Examples would be things that make us feel like we are somewhere else entirely like a jungle scene, a football stadium, an ocean, a garden, etc.

After you decide what type of mural you want, you will want to contact the artist for a free consultation. This may be in person if you live in Maine or New Hampshire. You may contact by e-mail or phone for consultation also. Luanne will travel to other states but travel expenses must be included.

After the consultation Luanne will come to your home or business and begin the mural process. For simple projects this may take only one day, and a large project such as an entire room could take up to a month. Most projects average one week.
